We are so excited about the opening day at the market! Due to the cold weather we are a long way from having our produce ready but nevertheless our tables will not be bare.
On the farm tables we will have Focaccio Bread-if you have never tried this herb bread now is the time. It pairs well with cheese, wine, or just a good slathering of butter. I use my own home grown herbs in this bread.

We will be offering two different kinds of pies this week. We will have some Rhubarb Pies large and petite. My daughter also made a couple of cherry pies.
We again will offer a small selection of Gluten Free treats. This week we will have Lemon Bars (my favorite) and Brownies.
We will also have some Homemade Jams. Currently we have Peach, our popular Pineapple (which has a hint of cinnamon and is the Middle Daughter's favorite), and I have added a new flavor this season inspired by my trip to Florida over the winter: Tropical Fruit. It is made from a combination of tropical fruits and just a dash of rum for that warm and wonderful flavor of the tropics. Our rhubarb is late but as soon as it comes off in a few days we will add our best seller, Rhubarb and Strawberry to the weekly mix.
All of our jams and baked goods are made with cane sugar instead of GMO beet sugar.

Honey again will come in three sizes- Quart, Pint, and Cup.
And for the cats and dogs you will again be able to find treats for them this year. I am happy to report that our stands of catnip are looking promising so we should be better able to keep up with demand this year, although we regret that it is not quite ready for picking.
But for the dog of your life, we will again have our dog treats. We are changing their look this year, but it will be the same ingredients so don’t let the new look dissuade you.
Under the Boutique tent we will have a lot of the same kinds of products that we are known for. Aprons, 18 inch Doll Dresses (American Girl but they will fit almost all 18 inch dolls), little girls dresses (we are running late this season but we are working on making rompers for boys and some christening gowns), and of course washcloths (for the kitchen and bath) and pot scrubbers. I have also brought back the sack bags! They are wonderful for collecting up those plastic sacks that we all get at the stores. We keep one in each bathroom, one in our kitchen and the girls have one upstairs. If we don’t have a color to your liking just ask and we will see if we can find something to match your décor.
This is some of what you will find on our tables weekly and each week we will be adding some new things as the season progresses and as we are able. We look forward to the new season and seeing you all there!
