It looks to be another comfortable day at the market. We've had a nice set of showers this week which has been good for the produce although the temps have been a bit low. Yet the garden is beginning to look very promising.
I picked the last of the radishes this week.

I will have some fresh lettuce...
and I found a few small spring onions left in the patch.
I will also be bringing cilantro. It should be far better than the stuff you get at the grocery store that has lost its flavor from being on transit for so long. I know it is too early to make fresh salsa, but this year I am infusing my cilantro in oil and will use that in my salsa when it is time. In the mean time I will keep it in the fridge and use the oil to cook with. Cilantro is very good for us and imparts such a nice flavor to eggs, soups and salads.
Also, I have a good variety of mints that I will have bundled. In the past I have sold mint tea blends that have been enjoyed by several of you. It is good but to enjoy tea made with the fresh mint is even better. So I will be bringing bundles of fresh mint blends so you can take it home and make a fresh pot of black tea with refreshing mint. Mint is also very good for you. It has an immune boosting properties and I have at least one cup of black tea with fresh mint every day.
To be fully enjoyed black/mint blend needs a good spoonful of honey. As two of our local sources have had their bee colonies collapse, we feel fortunate to still be able to offer honey. It is getting harder for us to find it locally, but we continue searching for other sources.
The wet, cool weather is keeping the rhubarb from thriving, but Racheal has supplied us with a few of her rhubarb pies. I do not expect these to stay on the table very long so please come by early.
As always we will have our organic popcorn. Why organic? Because we have a concern about the health issue with GMO corns and want to offer you the best product we can make available.
I am running low on Pineapple Jam, but have plenty of the Tutti Fruity, and Peach Jam.
In the Gluten/Grain free category today, we have brownies and pumpkin breads...
